City center Bypass Tunnel

The City of Naples commissioned to ARUP a Study for an underground vehicular tunnel connecting the East and West sides of the city bypassing its congested historic center. Interplan provided Urban design services focused on controlling the impact and integration of the tunnel access ramps at four different locations. The ramps integration in the urban fabric offered the opportunity to create vibrant new public space and gardens along the city's landmark waterfront.
