Nuova stazione marittima di Salerno

In association with Zaha Hadid Architects.

The design for the new Salerno Maritime Terminal is the result of an international competition won by Zaha Hadid Architects. For the project design development and construction documents 

implementation, ZHA entrusted Interplan as architect of records. Moreover, Interplan was responsible for construction supervision and health & safety planning and surveillance.

The new maritime terminal represents for Salerno the new focal point of a fast changing environment, that of the city’s waterfront. The Building, inspired by the nature of an oyster, is likewise equipped with a convex shell in exposed reinforced concrete and with a concave fluid and dynamic interior.
